The Ottawa Student Transportation Authority together with the local OCDSB school council groups from the Barrhaven area have developed an online survey and we are asking for your input concerning the recent school start time changes and transportation efficiencies.

As you may be aware, the Ottawa Student Transportation Authority has recently identified a number of opportunities for improved effiency in providing transportation services

The proposals required a number of changes to school start times which would allow for increased sharing of school buses between the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board and the Ottawa Catholic School Board.

Public consultation sessions were held across the city last February and March to receive public input.

The proposed changes effected several school start times in the Barrhaven area. These proposed changes included changing school start times from 5 minutes to 45 minutes (no earlier than 08:00am and no later than 09:15am)

The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board has requested that further consultation be undertaken in the Barrhaven area with a view to implementation of changes in Barrhaven for the September 2010 school year.
