Find your child's bus stop location. School Bus Routes Schedules will no longer be posted on our website.

OSTA staff process close to 12,000 route changes within the first month of school. We receive thousands of phone calls and emails from parents who have moved over the summer, changed their caregiver or daycare provider, or have an alternate arrangement that affects their child's transportation. We used to post PDF versions of the bus route schedules in late August, which would become outdated and inaccurate within days of posting!
We want to provide you with the most accurate information in the most timely way possible. Our new Stop Finder tool is continually updated to reflect the most accurate bus stop locations possible. This is your new source for bus stop and route information. Enter your last name, date of birth, school and grade, then login!
The first step to planning how your child gets to and from school is to find out if they are eligible for transportation. Depending on where you live, or where your caregiver lives, you may be eligible for yellow school bus or OC Transpo transportation. Others are in their school's designated walk zone. We help our walkers plan their safe walk to school by providing detailed walk zone maps and walking route maps. We even have a Walking School Bus program at selected schools.
Parents and students should familiarize themselves with their transportation arrangements before the school year begins. Take the time to look through our website for resources to help keep your child safe as they get to and from school. Careful planning is the key to helping your child enjoy their school experience. And don't forget to subscribe to our mailing list for important notices and school bus cancellations. Our office is open all summer to answer your questions. See you all on September 8!
New walk zone maps for September 2015
Created on Thursday, 02 July 2015 14:36
The Ottawa Student Transportation Authority reviewed the walk zones in all of our elementrary schools. The assessment was done to make sure that the same policies are applied to both Catholic and Public Board schools.
Please take time to review the new walk zone map for your school. The maps use symbols to show where there are walking aids such as traffic lights, stop signs, and crossing guards. The maps also show you the walk paths in your area. Use our resources to plan your child's walk to school
If your child walks to school, they can now join up with some friends and a trained leader to accompany them to school. The Walking School Bus (WSB) is designed to promote active transportation and healthy living. Students walk to school with a group of up to 10 peers and a professional leader, following a specific route and schedule. OSTA's Walking School Bus (WSB) program is will be offered in eight (8) Ottawa schools starting in September 2015. Find out if your school is participating and sign up today!
