St. Augustine PES Summary

The feedback expressed a concern with the traffic volume east of Prince of Wales however the area east of Prince of Wales is a hazard zone.

The feedback expressed a safety concern with the intersection of Meadowlands at Fisher. This intersection is not used for distance measurement due to pedestrian/vehicle collisions.  However, alternate routes may be available which do not include crossing at Meadowlands or at Fisher.

The feedback expressed a concern with the traffic volume at Claymore at Meadowlands. A new traffic count was done and noted a low volume of 1484 vehicle/hr, a visibility issue and the merging of 4 lanes to two lanes.

The feedback expressed a concern with the lack of sidewalks on Normandy however Normandy is a residential street.

The feedback expressed a concern with crossing Prince of Wales at Falaise but no one crosses Prince of Wales and Falaise is a residential street.

The feedback expressed a safety concern with Prince of Wales at Meadowlands due to pedestrian accidents. The intersection is not used for distance measurement due to pedestrian/vehicle collisions.  However, alternate routes may be available that due not require using this intersection.

The feedback expressed a concern with crossing to the sidewalk on other side of Meadowlands at Ortona. A new sidewalk has been added on the South side of Meadowlands.  This allows students grades 4-6 to walk to Claymore safely and to cross at Meadowlands at Claymore.

The feedback expressed a concern with the sidewalks not being complete on Meadowlands from Fisher to Prince of Wales. A new site visit noted the sidewalk is now been completed

Outcome: A new hazard was added for Meadowlands for Grades 1-3.
