Students, show your driver you care – Create a thank you card!
Saturday, May 27, 2023, is OSTA’s Driver Appreciation Day, a day in which we recognize and thank our many dedicated drivers and walking school bus (WSB) leaders for getting students to and from school safely every day. We commend all yellow bus, wheelchair bus, van drivers, and walking school bus (WSB) leaders who have gone above and beyond their duties to ensure children in our city have access to education.
Help us recognize all drivers and WSB leaders by sharing your thanks with us so your yellow bus, wheelchair bus, van driver or walking school bus (WSB) leader gets the recognition they deserve! You can hand in a hardcopy of your card to your school office to send to OSTA or you can submit online – just follow the instructions below!
OSTA Driver Appreciation Day Thank You Cards
- All OCDSB and OCSB students are welcome to submit a photo of a Thank You card.
- The student’s first name only (optional) and grade (optional) should be on the front of the work.
- OSTA may post online, reproduce or otherwise use the artwork in any way it deems fit.
- Artwork will be accepted in the following electronic formats:
- A clear photo of the artwork posted on OSTA’s Facebook page or Twitter using the hashtag #OSTADriverAppreciation
- Submit a photo of your artwork online here.
- We ask students to submit their Thank You Cards by May 14, 2023.
- OSTA will post the cards on our website.
Instructions for Posting to OSTA’s Facebook Page
To post a photo to OSTA’s timeline:
- Go to the Ottawa Student Transportation Authority’s main page.
- Scroll down to the timeline.
- Tap Photo.
- Tap Add Photo and select a photo.
- Tap Preview to write a message with the photo.
- Tap Post.
