The feedback expressed a concern with visibility on the paths from Des Praires (using Cloverheath/Louis Riel) to Prestwick. The paths from Cloverheath and Louis Riel to Prestwick have been removed from distance measurement due to visibility issues. There may be alternative ways for students to get to school, however.
The feedback expressed a concern with traffic not stopping at the intersection of Des Praires (N) at Prestwick. The data shows a low traffic volume of 200-300 vehicles/hr and these are residential streets.
The feedback expressed a concern with Des Epinettes being too dangerous to cross. Des Epinettes has two controlled crossings (4 way stops).
The feedback expressed a concern with the lack of sidewalks on Woodhaven, Anglehart, Des Arbres and Cottonwood. All these streets are outside the walk zones.
The feedback expressed a concern with traffic at the intersection of Des Epinette at Wildflower however this intersection is in a hazard zone.
The feedback expressed a safety concern with the paths due to steep hilly paths, crossing water and going through a wooded area in Yves Richer Park. These paths were never used to calculate distance from the school and students are not expected to use them in their route to school.
Outcome: The paths from Cloverheath and Louis Riel to Prestwick were removed from distance measurement due to visibility issues.
